The homeowners say that with their busy family life maintenance was a key issue and they were happy to learn that timber cladding (when correctly installed and painted on installation) only needs repainting every 10 to 12 years, the same as any other painted cladding surface. The Envira system also comes factory primed so painting costs are saved immediately.

A watertight finish was achieved using Envira scribe, a pre-cut scriber that acts as an easy storyboard for installation and means the weatherboards sit gap-free against windows, doors and adjoining walls. Inside, bathrooms and wet areas benefit from timber architraves, which won’t delaminate like MDF  when damp. Niagara can treat these to H3.1 making them even more resistant.

Niagara’s timber window reveals and simple skirting boards add warmth and appeal painted in the same neutral tones as walls and ceilings to contrast with the modern angles and striking accents of colour. TimberTech decking was laid in all the outdoor entertaining areas and the welcoming main entrance. This hardy composite decking is perfect for busy family living as it is maintenance free and doesn’t require staining. The splinter-free finish means it is safe for little feet and inevitable spills just wash away.
